How quotas work

Teyuto charges you per minute of video stored, watched, and encoded.

Storage Minutes

We calculate storage minutes as the accumulated minutes of video content you store on our platform. For example:

  • If you have 5 videos, each with a duration of 10 minutes, stored with us, it amounts to 50 storing minutes.
  • If you record a live video, it will become part of the storage value.

Deleted videos will be removed from the total count in the billing cycle following the current one.

The storage value is not reset every month.

Delivery Minutes

Delivery minutes are measured as the minutes of video content that have been made available for viewing by your viewers. For video-on-demand (VOD), we load segments of 4 seconds to the player, while for live streams, segments of 2 seconds are loaded to the player. Here's an example:

  • If you have a 120-second video that is viewed by 1 user who will view the first 104 seconds, the player will also count the loading of the next 4-second segment. The total will result in 108 seconds, which is equivalent to 1.8 minutes.
  • If you have a live stream lasting 10 minutes that has loaded for 10 viewers, where 5 viewers drop out halfway, and the remaining 5 viewers stay until the end of the stream, it results in 5 viewers watching 5 minutes, along with 2 seconds of loaded content, and 5 viewers watching the full 10 minutes, adding up to 75.0333 delivery minutes.

⇒ This results in a total of 76.8333 delivery minutes.

The delivery value is reset each month corresponding to your billing cycle.

Encoding Minutes

The value of encoding minutes is calculated based on all videos uploaded to the platform, recorded videos, and live streams performed, only the first time the encoding process is performed. Encoding is essential to make your videos available in optimized formats for your end users.

If in one month, for example:

  • You make an upload of 10 10-minute videos (100 minutes total).
  • You perform a 60-minute streaming
  • You make a recording of the stream

The final encoding value for the current month will be: 100 + 60 + 60 = 220 minutes

The encoding value is reset each month corresponding to your billing cycle.
