What video resolutions and bitrate does Teyuto transcode to?

Transcode file bitrates for different qualities

Transcoding is the video file parameters conversion.

It includes not only changing the protocol but also splitting a stream into lower qualities with a suitable bitrate.

The current table of resolution and bitrates supported by Teyuto:

Audio and video codecs

A transcoded video stream has the following codecs by default:

  • Audio

    AAC, 44.1KHz, stereo

  • Video

    H264, 30FPS, ABR

The table presents data tailored to videos with a 16:9 horizontal aspect ratio, with corresponding values inverted for vertical videos. For instance, if the original resolution is 1280 × 720 in a horizontal orientation, the relevant vertical orientation would be 720 × 1280.

We employ a variable bitrate (VBR) encoding approach for video. The table above displays average values, while the control panel reflects the combined audio and video bitrates.

Important Note: Our system does not artificially enhance video quality. The output quality will span from the lowest available quality to the original bitrate of your uploaded video. For example, if you upload a 4K video, the output quality will range from the lowest quality to a maximum of 4K. Similarly, if you upload a 720p video, the output quality will vary from the lowest quality to a maximum of 720p.
