Diagnosing Video Quality Issues Following Upload

If you're encountering reduced video quality for recently uploaded content, several factors may be contributing to this issue.

When a video is uploaded, it initially undergoes processing in a lower resolution to expedite the upload process. After the upload is complete, the video becomes available for streaming in this lower resolution.

Higher resolutions, like 1080p, require more processing time. During this processing period, the video may appear to play only in lower resolution for several hours. Once the processing is complete, higher resolutions will become accessible.

If the quality problem persists, even after a successful upload, it might be due to a caching problem. In such cases, consider reattempting to view the video after a few hours. Be sure to experiment with different quality settings on the video page:

  1. Visit the video player and click on the gear icon.

  1. Test various quality settings to determine if the issue resolves.

Ensure you adhere to our recommended quality settings guidelines when uploading videos.
