Connecting Google Tag Manager

Google Tag Manager (GTM) allows you to manage and deploy various tracking tags on your website or application without modifying the code directly. Teyuto takes this approach a step further by also eliminating the boilerplate JavaScript code that you otherwise need to add to your platform.

Now, all you need is your GTM container code and you're good to go!

By connecting Google Tag Manager to your Teyuto channel, you can easily implement and manage tags, including Google Analytics, to track user behavior and gather valuable insights.

Follow the steps below to integrate Google Tag Manager with your Teyuto channel:

  • Access Google Tag Manager

Visit the Google Tag Manager website at tagmanager.google.com and sign in with your Google account credentials.

  • Create a Container

To create a new container, click on the "Create Account" button.

Enter a suitable name for your account and container and then select the appropriate target platform (Web, iOS, or Android) for your Teyuto channel.

Click on the "Create" button to proceed.

  • Obtain Your GTM Code

After creating the container, you'll be directed to a page displaying the container code snippets. These are the JavaScript codes for the head and body part of your platform.

Skip this dialog box and you’ll see your GTM code on the top menu bar (below the search bar.) Copy this code (in the format GTM-XXXXXX).

  • Access Teyuto Settings

Go to your Teyuto dashboard and click on the "Settings" option located in the left menu bar.

  • Navigate to Integrations

In the Settings menu, locate and click on the "Integrations" option in the top menu bar.

  • Connect Google Tag Manager

Scroll down the integrations section until you find the Google Tag Manager option.

Click on the "Connect" button.

  • Enter Your GTM Code

A dialog box will appear. Enter your GTM container code in it.

  • Verify the Connection

After connecting, the Google Tag Manager option in the Integrations screen should reflect the successful connection displaying your container ID with additional “Edit” and “Remove” buttons.

  • Configure and Publish Tags in Google Tag Manager

Now, open Google Tag Manager in a new tab or window.

Follow the instructions provided by Google Tag Manager to configure and deploy your desired tags.

Lastly, save and publish the changes in Google Tag Manager.

  • Verify the Tag Implementation

Visit your Teyuto channel or platform and perform actions that trigger the tags you've set up. If you’ve linked Google Analytics as well, go to your Google Analytics account and ensure that the data is being tracked correctly.

Congratulations! You have successfully connected Google Tag Manager to your Teyuto channel. Now you can leverage the power of GTM to manage and deploy tags to gain valuable insights into your platform traffic and user behavior.
